Responsible for writing and editing creative copy to support promotional efforts in all product disciplines.
Projects include brochures, flyers, samplers, catalogs, press releases, websites, and specialty items and projects.

Creates and writes copy to support promotional efforts

Proofreads and copyedits assigned projects to ensure accuracy in grammar, messaging and brand

Collaborates on concepts with creative staff and clients: including other copywriters, designers, Campaign Marketing Directors, Portfolio Staff, Project Coordinators, eMarketing team members, corporate representatives, and others that require creative copywriting and copyediting assistance.

Help establish, maintain, and manage messaging and styles for the various imprints (include style guides)

Requirements:
--High level of written and verbal communication skills. Ability and desire to work in a team environment.
--Attention to detail and self motivated.
--Proficient in all desktop publishing programs, including InDesign, Word, and Excel.

Required: B.A in Marketing, P.R., English, Journalism, or Advertising Degree. 1-3 years of copywriting experience.

Preferred: Previous experience writing copy and proofreading for a publishing or advertising company.
Educational background a plus.

This is a 6-month contract opportunity in the Austin, TX area. Open to US Citizens and Permanent Residents.
