WS Publishing Group is seeking a full-time, in-house writer/editor.

This person will be responsible for:

- Copywriting/ghostwriting books in a variety of categories, including but not limited to weddings, health, diet and fitness, parenting, babies, journaling, and self-help. In-depth knowledge of all topics is not required, but the ability to research and become an expert on any topic is.

- Editing all written materials, including book manuscripts, book samples, marketing materials, emails, and more. Precision, attention to detail, proficiency AP Style, and an ability to work within the company’s own style sheet are required.

- Inputting edits. A basic knowledge of Adobe InDesign is required to make these edits.

- Miscellaneous duties may also include: Responding to media requests, coming up with creative new book ideas, writing Web content, collaborating with outside sources for books, and more. You should be prepared to wear many hats!

Requirements:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

- Proficiency in AP Style and copyediting

- Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign in order to make edits within a document in this program

- Ability to multi-task and balance several different projects at the same time.

- Must have several years experience of writing and editing books from beginning to end.
