Full-time at Prominent Financial in New York.
Successful candidate will be responsible to prepare all technical documents (training documentation, user guides, completion reports, sales proposals, etc)
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
• Improve the quality and coverage of existing documentation.
• Develop and maintain new documentation, including product overviews, training/step-by-step how-to procedures, troubleshooting information and best practices.
• Contribute to the overall structure of the documentation set.
• Prepare and maintains documentation and publications relating to users, systems, programming, operations, products, and services.
• Gather and research technical information, including engineering and development information, for use in proposal documentation activities.
• Maintain understanding of applications and levels of user proficiency.
• Coordinate layout and organization of documentation.
• Create graphical images, flow charts, and diagrams for inclusion in documentation.
• Review, edit, and proofread materials written by others.
• Maintain reports of current, submitted and pending proposals, including proposal results.
REQUIREMENTS:
• A bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English or Business; emphasis in technical writing and editing.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in the field of technical proposal generation
• Minimum of 3 years experience in technical writing with a focus on networking technologies
• Ability to understand technology, demonstrated by previous experience as a writer of high-quality technical documentation.
• Strong writing skills with experience in writing and maintaining web-based documentation.
