Our client, a growing financial company, is looking for a Financial Writer with related industry experience (preferably with a mutual fund company). The incumbent will develop and write marketing materials for this financial institution.

Salary up to $50,000 per year

Job description:
- Develop and write marketing materials, including fund positioning pieces, fund brochures, event invitations, PowerPoint presentations, etc.
- Interview portfolio managers or review conference call transcripts to create manager Q&As, white papers and commentaries
- Proofread and edit all marketing materials
- Adapt message from print materials for use on the website and third-party websites (i.e. ad copy)
- Support broader needs of the company as it pertains to editorial (i.e., letters, pitch books, speeches, etc.)

Qualifications:
- Financial industry experience for 3 years + (preferably with a mutual fund company)
- English or Journalism degree
- Proficient understanding of Microsoft Office
- Bilingual (English/French) a plus
- Successful completion of Canadian Securities Course a plus
- Excellent communication (written and verbal)/relationship skills
- Comfortable working independently on projects and contributing ideas as part of a team
- Ability to provide input on strategic direction of projects, understand main objective of projects, and execution for appropriate target audience.
